Salary bonus PIS-Pasep 2023: check the approved calendar

In the last month of December 2022, the Council of the Worker Support Fund (Codefat) approved the payment schedule for the 2023 PIS-Pasep salary bonus, the amount to be paid is for the base year 2021.

And it will start to be paid from February 15th and beneficiaries can withdraw the amount until December 28th, 2023.

It is estimated that around 23,6 million workers will receive the salary bonus in 2023, with the value of R$ 24,4 billion.

It is worth mentioning that the payment of PIS is made according to the month of birth of the beneficiary. The Pasep, on the other hand, is according to the final digit of the enrollment number in the program.

How do I know if I will receive PIS in 2023?

To find out if you are entitled to PIS base year 2021, you must meet the following requirements:

• Have five or more years of enrollment in the PIS/Pasep;
• Have carried out some activity, with a formal contract, for at least 30 days in 2021;
• Received average remuneration of up to two minimum wages in 2021;
• Have updated data in the Annual Social Information List (RAIS).

Who is not entitled to salary allowance?

• Domestic employee;
• Rural workers employed by individuals;
• Urban workers employed by individuals;
• Workers employed by individuals equivalent to legal entities.

What is the amount of the 2023 salary allowance?

The amount can reach the total of one minimum wage, depending on the number of months worked. 

And with the increase in the minimum wage on January 1, 2023, the amount of the salary bonus varies from R$ 108,50 to R$ 1.302. Only those who worked the 12 months of the year 2021 will receive the maximum amount.

• 1 month worked – BRL 110,00;
• 2 months worked – BRL 220,00;
• 3 months worked – BRL 330,00;
• 4 months worked – BRL 440,00;
• 5 months worked – BRL 550,00;
• 6 months worked – BRL 660,00;
• 7 months worked – BRL 770,00;
• 8 months worked – BRL 880,00;
• 9 months worked – BRL 990,00;
• 10 months worked – BRL 1.100,00;
• 11 months worked – BRL 1.210,00;
• 12 months worked – BRL 1.320,00.
